Water Stewardship Ireland Recognised at European Innovation Awards

Water Stewardship Ireland and its managing company 20FIFTY Partners has won the Water Governance Award at the 2021 Water European Innovation Awards.

The prestigious Water European Innovation Awards honour some of Europe’s most innovative and ground-breaking water solutions. The company was presented with its award at the Water Innovation Europe 2021 Conference, organised by Water Europe as part of its Water Innovation Europe virtual conference happening from the 14th to the 18th of June.

The Water Governance Award recognises Water Stewardship Ireland’s contributions and development of turn-key corporate water stewardship innovations and programmes that have established Ireland as a recognised leader in the adoption of water stewardship best practice.

Working in collaboration with a range of key partners such as Irish Water, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), Enterprise Ireland, Bord Bia etc., Central Solutions and Water Stewardship Ireland have delivered significant and tangible impacts on industry, broader society and the environment. To-date with over 350 water stewards fully trained, a new national annual certification system in place, over one thousand individual water improvement projects underway and an average of up to 20% reduction in the water footprint of participating sites, the programme goes from strength to strength.
